Chief Master Fidel Casco is a true pillar of the martial arts community. With an 8th Degree Black Belt and the esteemed title of Chief Master under the American Taekwondo Association (ATA), he is an internationally recognized expert who has dedicated over 40 years to his craft. 

As the founder of Legend Martial Arts in Windermere, Florida, he has built more than just a school; he has cultivated a sanctuary for personal growth and a community where discipline, perseverance, and kindness reign supreme.

A JOURNEY ORIGINATING IN SOUTH AMERICA

Born in Paraguay in 1960, Chief Master Casco’s martial arts journey began at an early age, fueled by an unwavering passion and drive for excellence. His rise to prominence was anything but easy. Leaving behind his home and family, he arrived in the United States in 2001, with no knowledge of the English language and few resources. 

For two years, he worked tirelessly to save enough to bring his wife and two children to the U.S., cementing his dedication to building a better future for his family. In 2010, Chief Master Casco became a U.S. citizen—a milestone in a life full of determination and resilience.

Chief Master Casco’s vision went beyond being just a martial artist—he sought to become a teacher and an inspiration to others. When he founded Legend Martial Arts, Windermere was still a developing area, its streets lined with construction zones and uncertainty. 

Despite not knowing what the future would hold, he placed his faith in his dream and in himself.

As time passed, both the community and Legend Martial Arts flourished together. Windermere transformed into one of the most sought-after places to live, and Legend Martial Arts became a cornerstone of that thriving community.

Known for his high expectations, he sets the bar high for his students, but what makes him unique is his gentle approach. 

He deeply cares about each individual, recognizing that everyone is motivated differently. With over 40 years of teaching experience, Chief Master Casco has a keen ability to understand how to push each student to reach their full potential—whether it's a child gaining confidence for the first time or an adult learning discipline for the first time. 

His deep and lasting influence is evident, as students who trained with him 10, 15, even 25 years ago will often drop by just to check in—and many of them still find themselves back on the mats, training alongside current students, despite not having practiced in years or even decades.

He is an internationally recognized sparring champion and has earned the distinguished title of ATA Chief Master under the American Taekwondo Association. He is a revered guest and judge at national and world tournaments, consistently invited to share his expertise and to be a part of the global martial arts conversation.

His reputation as a teacher is unparalleled. He has been recognized multiple times as Instructor of the Year and his school, Legend Martial Arts, has been named School of the Year repeatedly, a testament to his commitment to excellence and leadership in the martial arts community.

A LEGACY OF FAMILY & VALUES

Chief Master Casco’s legacy is rooted in his family. He is a proud husband to Estella Casco, a dedicated teacher, and a loving father to Belen Casco, an Attorney and Juris Doctor, and Enrique Casco, a Systems Engineer. Both of his children, now accomplished martial artists, continue the tradition of excellence within the family. Belen is poised to test for her 5th Degree Black Belt, and Enrique holds a 4th Degree Black Belt. The Casco family is a testament to the values of hard work, discipline, and the transformative power of martial arts.
